The Wall Street Journal, “Through Pandemic and Protests, Why Food Still Matters”

In food media, as in the rest of the world, the last few weeks have brought reckonings. As high-profile columnists and editors have stepped down, under fire for discrimination against people of color on staff and lack of diversity in coverage, Klancy Miller has found it very interesting but hardly surprising. “Honestly, if you’re a black person, period, but especially if you’re a black person in food media, this has always been obvious,” said the Cordon Bleu-trained pastry chef and food writer earlier this week.
